In the first objection: The question has two clauses, which are two objections. In the Vinaya, those subject to the two expulsions and those undergoing penance do not count toward the quorum. Moreover, the name "severed head" means "unfit for the practice of the Dharma," like a corpse; now it is said: "The entity of the remaining precepts is pure, bright and without transgression." Is this not contradictory? Therefore, it must be explained in detail.
