第四、戒居逈嶮處。僧伽藍內受他送食，恐賊劫奪故制也。有四種開：一先語檀越仍來，制令藍外迎取；二比丘有病；三置地與比丘；四教人與比丘（准律教人與不犯也）。此四開中隨一不犯，隨違四開展轉遂至自手受犯。文相可知。第三結已審持，一准上釋可知也。

Fourth, the precept on dwelling in a remote and perilous place. Receiving food brought and delivered by another inside a saṅghārāma was prohibited for fear that bandits might rob and plunder it. There are four exceptions: first, having informed the dānapati in advance, if they still come, one is instructed to receive it outside the saṅghārāma; second, the bhikṣu is ill; third, it is placed on the ground and given to the bhikṣu; fourth, having someone else give it to the bhikṣu (according to the vinaya, having someone else give it is not an offence). If any one of these four exceptions is met, there is no offence; if one goes against the four exceptions progressively to the point of receiving it with one's own hand, an offence is incurred. The textual meaning can be known. The third part, having concluded, carefully upholding it, can be understood in exact accordance with the above explanations.
