（時諸比丘輒度人故，眾僧不知。佛言：「汝若欲僧伽藍中剃髮，當白一切僧。若不得和合，房房語令知已，與剃髮。若和合，作白已剃髮。」作是白言：）

(At that time, the bhikṣus ordained people arbitrarily, and the saṃgha did not know. The Buddha said: "If you wish to shave someone's head in the saṅghārāma, you must inform all the saṃgha. If a concordant assembly cannot be gathered, go room by room to inform them, and after that grant tonsure. If gathered in concordance, make a jñapti and then shave his head." One makes the jñapti as follows:)
