（佛言：「應偏袒右肩，脫革屣，䠒跪合掌，應一一從上座作，次第應離坐自恣。」《五分》云：「取草布地，令在上自恣。老病者隨竟復本座。」應對前五德者言也：）

(The Buddha said: "One should bare the right shoulder, remove one's leather sandals, kneel with palms joined, and each one starting from the senior monk in order should leave his seat and perform pravāraṇā." The Mahīśāsaka Vinaya says: "Take grass and spread it on the ground so that they perform pravāraṇā on it. The elderly and sick may return to their original seats as soon as they are finished." One should speak to the aforesaid person possessing the five virtues:)
