（佛言：「三衣應受持。若疑，捨已更受。若有衣不受持者，突吉羅。」而不出受法，今准《十誦》加受持。若以青、黃、赤、白、黑五大色及上色染，《律》、《論》並不成受。若如法衣，應云：）

(The Buddha said: "The three robes must be determined and maintained. If there is doubt, give them up and determine them again. If there are robes not determined and maintained, it is a duṣkṛta." Yet he did not set forth the procedure for determination; now, in accordance with the Daśādhyāya-vinaya, the determination formula is added. If dyed with the five major colours of blue/green, yellow, red, white, and black, or primary colours, according to the Vinayas and Treatises the determination is invalid.
