(The Buddha said: "The three robes must be determined and maintained. If there is doubt, give them up and determine them again. If there are robes not determined and maintained, it is a duṣkṛta." Yet he did not set forth the procedure for determination; now, in accordance with the Daśādhyāya-vinaya, the determination formula is added. If dyed with the five major colours of blue/green, yellow, red, white, and black, or primary colours, according to the Vinayas and Treatises the determination is invalid. If it is a robe made according to Dharma, one should say:)
