"May the venerable saṃgha listen! I, a senior resident bhikṣu, proclaim for the saṃgha the markers of the four directions of the mahāsīmā: from such-and-such marker at the southeast corner to such-and-such marker at the southwest corner; from there to such-and-such marker at the northwest corner; from there to such-and-such marker at the northeast corner; and from there returning to such-and-such marker at the southeast corner. This concludes one full circuit of the outer markers of the mahāsīmā."
