(If there are bends or turns, proclaim them according to the circumstances; all must specifically indicate the demarcations, measurements, and locations. If because the limits are not known the binding is not accomplished, the karman is established in vain, and acts such as ordination are all done fruitlessly; therefore, it must be made clear as above. After proclaiming the markers three times, the Buddha said: "The assembly should appoint a karman-master, whether a senior seat, a middle seat, one who recites the vinaya, or one who does not recite the vinaya, whoever is capable of performing the karman." After the question-and-answer, make the jñapti thus:)
