(If it is a procedure solely by mental resolve (cetanā), the matter applies to both boundaries, but the person undertakes it strictly alone. If it is a mental resolve face to face or a mental resolve for saṃgha procedures, the boundaries apply to both places, but if anyone is missing, it is invalid. These are all listed as in the preceding section on "Assembling the Procedures".
