大德僧聽！此某甲，從某甲求受具足戒。此某甲，今從僧乞受具足戒，某甲為和上。某甲自說清淨，無諸難事，年滿二十，三衣鉢具。僧今授某甲具足戒，某甲為和上。誰諸長老忍僧與某甲授具足戒，某甲為和上者默然，誰不忍者說。（三說。）僧已忍與某甲授具足戒，某甲為和上竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。（作此法已，應為記時。邊受與此無異。）

"May the venerable saṃgha listen! This so-and-so seeks to receive upasampadā from so-and-so. This so-and-so now begs the saṃgha to receive upasampadā, with so-and-so as his upādhyāya. So-and-so has declared himself to be pure and free from all obstacles, full twenty years of age, and complete with the three robes and bowl. The saṃgha now confers upasampadā on so-and-so, with so-and-so as his upādhyāya. Whichever venerable ones approve of the saṃgha conferring upasampadā on so-and-so, with so-and-so as his upādhyāya, remain silent; whoever does not approve, speak." (To be spoken three times.) "The saṃgha has approved conferring upasampadā on so-and-so, with so-and-so as his upādhyāya. Because the saṃgha approves, it is silent; so is this matter maintained." (After performing this procedure, the time should be recorded for him. The reception of precepts on the borders is no different from this.)
