大德！我今懺悔，更不復作。（若聽懺悔者善；若不聽者，當更日三時懺悔，早起、日中、日暮。若聽悔者善；若不聽者，當下意隨順，求方便解其所犯。若彼下意隨順，無有違逆，而和上、闍梨不受者，當如法治。）弟子離和上懺謝法（和上有五非法，弟子應懺悔而去。應語和上言：）

"Bhadanta! I now repent and will not do it again." (If he accepts the repentance, it is good. If he does not accept it, he must repent again at the three times of the day: early morning, noon, and evening. If he accepts the repentance, it is good. If he does not accept it, he must humble his mind and comply, seeking skillful means to resolve his offense. If he humbles his mind and complies without any disobedience, yet the upādhyāya or ācārya does not accept it, [the teacher] is to be dealt with in accordance with the Dharma.) Procedure for a disciple to ask forgiveness upon leaving an upādhyāya: (If an upādhyāya has five non-dharmic traits, the disciple should repent and leave. He should say to the upādhyāya:)
