長老一心念！我比丘某甲，是衣僧伽梨（若干）條受，（若干）長（若干）短，割截衣持，今捨。（三說。捨下二衣，類准亦爾。）

"Let the venerable one bear in mind single-mindedly! I, bhikṣu so-and-so, determined this saṃghāṭī of [so many] strips, of [such] length and [such] width, and kept it as a cut cloth; I now relinquish it." (Spoken three times. Relinquishing the lower two robes follows the same model.)
