大德僧聽！某甲比丘命過，所有衣鉢、坐具、針筒、盛衣貯器，此現前僧應分；僧今與某甲看病比丘。誰諸長老忍僧與某甲看病比丘衣鉢、坐具、針筒、盛衣貯器者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍與某甲看病比丘衣鉢、坐具、針筒、盛衣貯器竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。

"Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! Bhikṣu so-and-so has passed away. All of his robes, alms bowl, sitting cloth (niṣīdana), needle case, and garment storage vessels, this saṃgha present ought to divide; the saṃgha now gives [them] to bhikṣu so-and-so, the caretaker of the sick. Whichever āyuṣmats consent to the saṃgha giving the robes, alms bowl, sitting cloth (niṣīdana), needle case, and garment storage vessels to bhikṣu so-and-so, the caretaker of the sick, let them remain silent; whoever does not consent, let him speak. The saṃgha has consented to give the robes, alms bowl, sitting cloth (niṣīdana), needle case, and garment storage vessels to bhikṣu so-and-so, the caretaker of the sick. The saṃgha consents, because it is silent; thus is this matter maintained."
