大德僧聽！此住處比丘，稱四方小界相。僧今於此四方小界相內結戒場。誰諸長老忍僧於此四方相內結戒場者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍於此四方相內結作戒場竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。（次唱大界內外相，唱及結如上。）

"May the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! The bhikṣus of this residence have announced the landmarks of the small sīmā in the four directions. The saṃgha now demarcates a sīmā-maṇḍala within these landmarks of the small sīmā in the four directions. Whichever āyuṣmats approve that the saṃgha demarcate a sīmā-maṇḍala within these landmarks of the four directions, let them remain silent; whoever does not approve, let him speak. The saṃgha has approved the demarcating to make a sīmā-maṇḍala within these landmarks of the four directions. The saṃgha approves, because of the silence. Thus do I hold this matter." (Next, announce the inner and outer landmarks of the mahāsīmā; the announcement and demarcation are as above.)
