大德僧聽！此某甲比丘羸老，不能無杖絡囊而行，今從僧乞杖絡囊；僧今與此某甲比丘杖絡囊。誰諸長老忍僧與某甲比丘杖絡囊者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍與某甲比丘杖絡囊竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。
'Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! This bhikṣu so-and-so is frail and aged, unable to walk without a staff and net-bag; he now requests from the saṃgha a staff and net-bag; the saṃgha now grants to this bhikṣu so-and-so a staff and net-bag. Whichever venerable ones approve the saṃgha's granting to bhikṣu so-and-so a staff and net-bag, remain silent; whoever does not approve, speak! The saṃgha has already approved granting to bhikṣu so-and-so a staff and net-bag. The saṃgha approves, therefore it is silent; so is this matter maintained.'
