大德僧聽！此某甲，某甲比丘清淨，而以無根波羅夷法謗；今僧為某甲作覆鉢不相往來。誰諸長老忍僧為某甲作覆鉢不相往來者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍為某甲作覆鉢不相往來竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。

"Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! This so-and-so slandered the pure bhikṣu so-and-so with a groundless pārājika matter; now the saṃgha overturns the bowl toward so-and-so, having no mutual intercourse [with him]. Whichever āyuṣmats approve that the saṃgha overturns the bowl toward so-and-so, having no mutual intercourse [with him], remain silent; whoever does not approve, speak! The saṃgha has already approved overturning the bowl toward so-and-so, having no mutual intercourse [with him]. Because the saṃgha approves, it is silent; so is this matter held."
