與作新臥具法（時有比丘得乾痟病，有糞掃臥具極重，自念：「世尊制戒，作新臥具持至六年；若減六年，不捨故臥具，更作新者，尼薩耆波逸提。我今得乾痟病，此臥具重，不堪持行。」佛言：「聽僧與彼比丘白二羯磨。」當往僧中，具儀作如是乞。）

Procedure for Granting the Making of a New Bedding. (At that time, there was a bhikṣu suffering from consumption who had rag bedding that was exceedingly heavy. He thought to himself: 'The World-Honoured One instituted a precept that upon making a new bedding one must keep it for six years; if less than six years, and without abandoning the old bedding, one makes another new one, it is a niḥsargika-prāyaścittika. Now I suffer from consumption, and this bedding is heavy; I am unable to carry it along.' The Buddha said: 'I permit the saṃgha to perform a jñaptidvitīya-karman for that bhikṣu.' He should go into the midst of the saṃgha, fully observe the etiquette, and make the request thus:)
