大德僧聽！我某甲比丘得乾痟病，有小因緣欲人間行，有糞掃臥具極重，不堪持行，我今從僧乞作新臥具羯磨。（三說。僧如是與。）

'Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! I, bhikṣu so-and-so, suffer from consumption; having minor business, I wish to travel among people, and I have rag bedding that is exceedingly heavy, which I am unable to carry along. I now request from the saṃgha the karman for making a new bedding.' (To be spoken three times. The saṃgha grants it thus:)
