The Procedure for Imposing the Pravājanīya-karman (At that time there were bhikṣus who engaged in corrupt conduct and corrupted other families. As for 'corrupt conduct', it means planting flower trees oneself, instructing others to plant them, and so forth. As for 'corrupting families', there are four types: first, corrupting families relying on families; second, corrupting families relying on offerings; third, corrupting families relying on friends and relatives; fourth, corrupting families relying on the saṅghārāma. That bhikṣu engaged in corrupt conduct and corrupted other families, which was fully seen and heard. The Buddha said: "I permit the saṃgha to perform the pravājanīya-jñapticaturtha for him." The performance and revocation of this are as explained in the Vinaya text.)
