3.50

The procedure for admonishing one who is ill-disposed and refuses to accept words (If a bhikṣu is of an evil disposition and does not accept the words of others, when the bhikṣus instruct him in accordance with the Dharma through the precepts and Vinaya, he makes himself unapproachable for speech, saying to the bhikṣus: "Bhadantas! Do not speak to me of either good or evil, and I too will not speak to the bhadantas of either good or evil. Desist, bhadantas! There is no need to admonish me." That bhikṣu is admonished by the bhikṣus, saying:)
