3.51

"Bhadanta! Do not make yourself unapproachable for speech; you should make yourself approachable for speech. The bhadanta should admonish the bhikṣus in accordance with the Dharma, and the bhikṣus will also admonish the bhadanta in accordance with the Dharma. In this way, the assembly of the Buddha's disciples increases by instructing one another, admonishing one another, and repenting to one another. Bhadanta! You may abandon this matter; do not be rebuked by the saṃgha and further commit a grave offense." (If he complies with the words, it is well; if he does not comply with the words, one proceeds up to the third, as above.
