對首法（若有佛法僧事、檀越父母等請喚、受懺、病患、看病、求同業等緣，不及即日還，聽受七日去。應如是作。）

Procedure Face to Face (If on account of affairs of the Buddha, Dharma, or Saṃgha; an invitation from dānapatis, parents, etc.; receiving confession; illness; nursing the sick; or seeking fellow practitioners, and one cannot return on the same day, it is permitted to take a leave of seven days and depart. One should proceed as follows:)
