大姊僧聽！僧今結某處作淨地。誰諸大姊忍僧結某處作淨地者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍結某處作淨地竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。（律言：有四種淨地。一者，檀越、若經營人作僧伽藍時處分，如是言：某處為僧作淨地。二者，若為僧作僧伽藍未施僧。三者，若半有籬障、若多無籬障、若都無，若垣牆、若塹亦如是。四者，僧作白二羯磨結。）

"Suṇātu me ayye saṃgho! The saṃgha now establishes such-and-such a place as pure ground. Whichever venerable sisters approve that the saṃgha establish such-and-such a place as pure ground, remain silent. Whosoever does not approve, speak! The saṃgha has already approved establishing such-and-such a place as pure ground. The saṃgha approves, because of silence; thus is this matter maintained." (The Vinaya states: There are four kinds of pure ground. First, when a dānapati or overseer constructs a saṅghārāma, he designates it, saying: "Such-and-such a place is made as pure ground for the saṃgha." Second, if one constructs a saṅghārāma for the saṃgha, but has not yet donated it to the saṃgha. Third, if it is half-enclosed by a hedge, or mostly lacks a hedge, or entirely lacks one; walls or ditches are likewise. Fourth, the saṃgha establishes it by performing a jñaptidvitīya-karman.)
