第三念：（謂知受戒時日歲數。稱云：）我於某年某月某日某時，一尺木若干影，受具足戒，無夏。（若有夏者，隨夏稱之。）

The third contemplation: (That is, knowing the time, day, and number of years since receiving the precepts. One recites:) 'On such-and-such a year, month, day, and time, when the shadow of a one-foot stick was so many [feet], I received the full precepts, and have [completed] no summer retreats.' (If one has summer retreats, one recites according to the summer retreats.)
