3.22

"Do not say this; do not slander the World-Honoured One. Slandering the World-Honoured One is not good, for the World-Honoured One does not say this. The World-Honoured One, through countless skillful means, taught that practicing sensual desire is a phenomenon that obstructs the Path. You may now abandon this matter; do not be rebuked by the saṃgha and thereby commit further grave offences." (If she complies with the words, it is well; if she does not comply with the words, it is spoken up to three times as above. The substantial procedure of the jñapticaturtha-karman is also clarified as in the Vinaya. The procedure for admonishing a śikṣamāṇā or a śrāmaṇerikā is identical to this without difference.)
