第二明戒機緣廣中，初、標受佛戒，二、辨戒機差別，有二十眾。於中變化人者，如龍變為人，小乘入難，此中通也。後「但解法師語」下通結多門，餘義可知。

Second, under clarifying that the candidates receptive to the precepts are wide, first, receiving the Buddha's precepts is indicated; second, the distinctions among candidates for the precepts are differentiated, comprising twenty groups. Therein, 'transformed persons' refers to cases such as a nāga transforming into a human; in the Hīnayāna, this constitutes an impediment, but here it is permissible. Later, from 'as long as one understands the Dharma master's words' onward, it generally concludes the many portals; the remaining meaning can be understood.
