第二正誦戒相中二：先總釋隨戒之相，略作六門：一、釋名，二、分輕重，三、明具闕方便，四、持犯麁細，五、諸部種類，六、對小辨異。並如別說。二、別釋戒相中亦二：先十重，後輕垢。前中三：先舉數勸持，二立名辨相，三總結勸持。又亦可初總誦，二別誦，三結勸。

Second, under directly reciting the characteristics of the precepts, there are two [parts]: First, a general explanation of the characteristics accompanying the precepts, briefly presented in six headings: 1. Explaining the names; 2. Distinguishing major and minor; 3. Clarifying completeness, deficiency, and preparatory actions; 4. Coarse and subtle upholding and violating; 5. Categories among various lineages; 6. Differentiating them in contrast to the Hīnayāna. All are as explained separately. Second, the specific explanation of the characteristics of the precepts also has two parts: first the ten major, then the minor defilements. The former has three: first, citing the number to encourage upholding; second, establishing names and distinguishing characteristics; third, generally concluding to encourage upholding. Alternatively: first, general recitation; second, specific recitation; third, concluding encouragement.
