第五、闕緣者，闕初緣，非情差重方便；闕第二緣，以非三寶境得重方便；闕第三緣，本迷無犯，轉想及疑皆得方便；闕第四緣，不破見故得重方便；闕第五緣者，言未發或異言故皆重方便。

Fifth, missing conditions: if the first condition is missing because the object is non-sentient, it is a grave preparatory offense; if the second condition is missing because it is not the realm of the Three Jewels, one incurs a grave preparatory offense; if the third condition is missing, being fundamentally deluded one incurs no offense, while mistaken perception and doubt both incur a preparatory offense; if the fourth condition is missing, because [wrong] view is not broken, one incurs a grave preparatory offense; if the fifth condition is missing, because the words have not been uttered or disparate words [are spoken], all incur a grave preparatory offense.
