六、輕重者,犯小戒不教應輕,重則應重。又五八應小,十七應重。又舉而不從為輕,從而不舉為重。又福弱不能舉為輕,瞋嫌不舉為重。並可知。
Sixth, regarding light and heavy: When a minor precept is broken, not instructing them should be light; if a major one, it should be heavy. Furthermore, [transgressions regarding] the five [precepts] or eight [precepts] should be minor; the ten [precepts] or seven [rebellious acts] should be heavy. Again, bringing it forth but them not complying is light; them being willing to comply but one not bringing it forth is heavy. Also, being unable to bring it forth due to weak merit/capacity is light; not bringing it forth out of anger and resentment is heavy. All of these can be understood.
