2.14

若佛子，不得食五辛。大蒜、革葱、韮葱、蘭葱、興渠，是五種，一切食中不得食。若故食者，犯輕垢罪。

"If a disciple of the Buddha—one must not eat the five pungent roots: garlic, leather-leek, leek-scallion, orchid-scallion, and asafoetida. These five kinds must not be eaten in any food. If one intentionally eats them, one commits a duṣkṛta offense."
