1.23

已上求佛地者，佛位果尊位極名上求，或後文名上，自此以後十地等中，求佛地也。解通局中有三，初、標二通，次、解通相，後、結成通。

Regarding "seeking the Buddha stage" above, the fruit of the Buddha stage is supreme and the rank is ultimate, hence it is called "seeking above"; or the subsequent text is called "above," from here onward seeking the Buddha stage within the ten stages and so forth. In explaining what is general and what is specific, there are three parts: first, setting forth the two generals; next, explaining the characteristics of the generals; finally, concluding their generality.
