後釋前文，配經文之所在分七，隨前標釋故。佛種不斷有二義，一者、明佛能為善攝、善付，善現發請，欣佛為說，令諸菩薩當依修學，得紹佛種姓不斷故。論下解有六因故，善現發問，令佛種不斷。二者、明佛能為善攝、善付，令所攝、付諸菩薩等依位而修，由佛能令紹種不斷。故論結云，此善攝、付囑二種，顯示種姓不斷。故經說云，教發菩提心，令佛種不斷，即是此也。

Next, explaining the preceding text and correlating it to the locations in the text of the sūtra is divided into seven, in accordance with the preceding identification and explanation. Non-interruption of the Buddha's lineage has two meanings: first, clarifying that the Buddha is able to perform excellent embracing and excellent entrustment, Subhūti brings forth a request, delighting in the Buddha explaining it for them so that all bodhisattvas will practice and train in reliance on it and succeed in carrying on the lineage of the Buddha without interruption. The treatise below explains that because of six causes, Subhūti raises questions so that the lineage of the Buddha is not interrupted. Second, clarifying that the Buddha is able to perform excellent embracing and excellent entrustment so that all bodhisattvas embraced and entrusted will cultivate in reliance on their positions; because the Buddha is able to make them succeed in carrying on the lineage without interruption. Therefore the treatise concludes: these two kinds, excellent embracing and entrustment, reveal the non-interruption of the lineage. Thus the sūtra states that teaching the arousal of bodhicitta causes the lineage of the Buddha not to be interrupted—this is precisely what it means.
