自下大文第三釋如來地，此說佛地功德，令淨心地上求，故十八住處中名上求佛地。又八住處內名究竟住處，義可知也。何故次說佛地者，為顯淨心地人願滿成佛功不虛故，又令行未滿者慕上懃求，故次說也。

From here below is the third major section of the text, explaining the Tathāgata Stage. This speaks of the virtues of the Buddha Stage to cause those on the stage of the purified mind to seek higher; therefore, among the eighteen abodes, it is named "the Buddha Stage sought above". Furthermore, among the eight abodes, it is named "the ultimate abode", the meaning of which can be known. Why is the Buddha Stage explained next? Because it reveals that for those on the stage of the purified mind, their vows are fulfilled and their attainment of buddhahood is not in vain, and it also causes those whose practice is not yet fulfilled to admire what is above and seek it diligently; therefore it is explained next.
