何等十七？云何顯示？一名無量義經者，成就字義故，以此法門方便說彼甚深法妙境界故。彼甚深法妙境界者，諸佛如來最勝境界故。

"What are the seventeen? How are they shown? First, it is called the Sūtra of Immeasurable Meanings, because it accomplishes words and meanings, and because by means of this Dharma gateway it explains through skillful means that marvelous realm of profound Dharma. That marvelous realm of profound Dharma is the supreme realm of the Buddhas, the Tathāgatas."
