此十七句法門者是總，餘句是別故。如經「為諸菩薩說大乘經名無量義」如是等故。
"These seventeen phrases of Dharma gates are the general, and the remaining phrases are the particular," because, as the sūtra states, "expounding for all bodhisattvas the Mahāyāna sūtra named Immeasurable Meanings," and so forth.
