謂生疑者生因中疑：此事云何？云何如來數數說於甚深境界，前說甚深、後說甚深，不同聲聞如是等，是故生疑。
"Giving rise to doubt means giving rise to doubt regarding the cause: 'What is this matter? Why does the Tathāgata repeatedly speak of a profound sphere, speaking earlier of the profound and speaking later of the profound, unlike that of the śrāvakas?' And so forth. Therefore doubt arose."
