二者多事驚怖，謂大乘眾生生如是心：我於無量無邊劫中行菩薩行久受勤苦。以是念故生驚怖心，起取異乘心故，如是驚怖。

"Second, fear born of excessive tasks: sentient beings of the Mahāyāna give rise to such a thought: 'I have practiced the bodhisattva conduct through immeasurable and boundless kalpas, suffering hardship for a long time.' Due to this thought, they give rise to fear and trepidation, and because they give rise to the mind of adopting a different vehicle, such is fear and trepidation."
