增上慢人謂：佛說一乘是誑二人。是故名誑相也。此五驚怖即是上五人：初是執小乘人，即是五千之徒；次是大乘人；三是外道人；四是悔取小乘人；五是增上慢人。

Persons of excessive pride think: 'The Buddha's preaching of the One Vehicle is a deception toward the two classes of people.' Hence it is called the aspect of deception. These five fears correspond precisely to the five kinds of people mentioned above: the first are those who cling to the Hinayāna, namely the assembly of five thousand; the second are people of the Mahāyāna; the third are non-Buddhists; the fourth are those who regret having taken up the Hinayāna; the fifth are those of excessive pride.
