二種聲聞如來與授記，謂應化聲聞、退已還發菩提心者；決定、增上慢者，二種聲聞根未熟故，如來不與授記。

"Upon two kinds of śrāvakas the Tathāgata confers vyākaraṇa: that is, transformed śrāvakas, and those who having retreated resolve on bodhicitta again; determinate [śrāvakas] and those of excessive conceit—because the faculties of these two kinds of śrāvakas are not yet mature, the Tathāgata does not confer vyākaraṇa upon them."
