謂初地菩提者，經有二句：一者八生乃至一生、二者得三菩提。今前遂近釋得三菩提，謂初地菩提故也。

Regarding "the bodhi of the first bhūmi": the sūtra has two clauses: first, "in eight rebirths down to a single rebirth"; second, "attain saṃbodhi". Here, it first immediately explains "attain saṃbodhi" as meaning the bodhi of the first bhūmi.
