How is this inconceivable? The sūtra says: 'Immeasurable jewel nets cover the Buddha-land, all decorated and adorned with gold thread, pearls, and hundreds of thousands of diverse gems of rare and wondrous value. Precious bells hang down on all four sides, their radiant colors flashing and shining with the utmost splendor. A natural virtuous wind rises slowly with a gentle motion; that wind is temperate, neither cold nor hot, pleasantly mild and soft, neither too slow nor too fast. Blowing upon the nets and the many jewel trees, it sounds forth immeasurable, wondrous Dharma notes and spreads ten thousand kinds of mild, elegant, virtuous fragrances. For those who hear them, the defilements and habitual tendencies of afflictions naturally do not arise, and when the wind touches their bodies, they all attain pleasure.' That this sound performs the work of a Buddha—how could it be conceivable?
