五根起欲，皆是自心；若本無心，五塵寧染？則知心王而為主也。
When the five sense faculties give rise to desire, it is entirely from one's own mind; if there were originally no mind, how could the five dusts (sense objects) defile it? Thus one knows that the mind-king is the master.
