無諂曲，無惑也。不求人意，無業也。諸根不牽，無苦也。眼根牽人受色，乃至身根牽人受觸。

“Without flattery and deviousness” is having no delusion. “Not courting people’s favor” is having no karma. “Not dragged along by the sense faculties” is having no suffering. The eye faculty drags one to receive visible forms, up to the body faculty dragging one to receive tactile sensations.
