〔補註〕如經云「苦哉大聖尊，入真何太速」是也。又云「諸佛不出世，亦無有涅槃」，則了不生不滅之旨者也。

[Supplementary note] Just as the sūtra states: "How painful, Great Holy Honoured One, why have you entered the true so swiftly?" It also states: "The Buddhas do not appear in the world, nor do they pass into nirvāṇa"—this refers to those who realize the principle of non-birth and non-extinction.
