Regarding "Indicating the reason for establishing the name […] it is called non-informative": Explains the fourth line. Indicating the causes and conditions for establishing the name "non-informative", it therefore says "from this". Although both informative and non-informative [matter] have physical karma as their nature, informative [matter] can reveal the mind and so forth to make it known to others; non-informative [matter] cannot reveal the mind and so forth to make it known to others, so it is called non-informative. The master of the treatise does not believe that such non-informative [matter] has a distinct substantial characteristic, so he says, "This is what is stated by our school's teachers." In brief, wholesome and unwholesome matter born of informative karma, and wholesome matter born of meditative absorption, are called non-informative [matter].
