「此影依樹至未為釋難」者，此顯有過。說一切有宗，造色極微各別依止自四大種，而言影、光依樹、寶生，且非符順毘婆沙義。彼宗影、光各自依止四大種故，樹、寶還是助生增上緣義，將類眼根，義應相似。

"That the shadow depends on the tree […] does not yet resolve the difficulty": This reveals the error. According to the Sarvāstivāda school, each atom of derived matter depends separately on its own four great elements. To say that shadow and radiance arise depending on trees and jewels does not yet conform to the doctrine of the Vibhāṣā. Because according to that school, shadow and radiance each depend on their own four great elements, trees and jewels are merely assisting, sovereign conditions; comparing them to the eye organ, the principle should be similar.
