此論，以永徽年中於大慈恩寺譯，文義周備，妙理無虧。傳彼梵言務存其本，庶使懷疑之侶渙若氷消，佇決之徒實忘飡寢。此即第一明論緣起。

This treatise was translated in the Yonghui era at Da Cien Monastery. The words and meaning are complete and thorough, without defect in its subtle principles. In transmitting those Sanskrit words, great care was taken to preserve the original, hoping that those who harboured doubts might have them dissolved like melting ice, and those awaiting resolution might truly forget food and sleep. This concludes the first part, clarifying the origins of the treatise.
