「如米有糠至應如是知」者，釋次二句，總有三喻。如草藥為因，果熟為後邊。其果熟已不能生果。其業亦爾。既果熟已。更不招異熟。餘文可知。

Regarding "Just as unhusked rice... should be known thus": this explains the next two lines; altogether there are three similes. Just as medicinal herbs serve as causes, with the ripening of the fruit being the final limit—once their fruit has ripened, they cannot produce fruit again—karma is also like this: once its fruit has ripened, it no longer invites retribution. The rest of the text is easy to understand.
