「何故唯無記得入涅槃」者，問。「無記勢力微順心斷故」者，答。此二無記勢力微劣，順心斷故。餘善、無記勢力稍強，非順心斷。餘人死心雖通三性，與斷心異，不可為例。

"Why is it that only through the indeterminate can one enter nirvāṇa?" asks the question. "Because the indeterminate is weak in power and conforms with the cessation of mind" is the answer. These two indeterminate [minds] are weak in power and conform with the cessation of mind. The other wholesome and indeterminate [minds] have slightly stronger power and do not conform with the cessation of mind. Although the death-mind of other people spans all three moral natures, it is different from the mind of cessation, and cannot be taken as an equivalent case.
