「此定由業力至故不被燒」者，兩釋，可知。又《正理》三十一云「無間、大熱及炎熱三，於中皆無獄卒防守。大叫、號叫及眾合三，少有獄卒，琰王使時時往來巡撿彼故。其餘皆為獄卒防守，有情、無情異類獄卒防守治罰罪有情故。

Regarding the passage from "This is definitely due to karmic force" up to "therefore they are not burned": Two explanations; readily understood. Furthermore, the *Nyāyānusāra*, fascicle 31, says: "In the three hells of Avīci, Mahātāpana, and Tāpana, there are no hell wardens guarding inside. In the three hells of Mahāraurava, Raurava, and Saṃghāta, there are few hell wardens, because the messengers of King Yama only come and go from time to time to inspect them. The remaining ones are all guarded by hell wardens, where different kinds of wardens, both sentient and non-sentient, guard and punish the sinful sentient beings."
